Customer Service and Administration Assistant

We are looking for a motivated and organised person to provide an important Customer Service role and administration support to all parts of our Independent and Connected Communities Project. This will involve working as part of a team, including volunteers, to ensure that all required customer service and administration tasks are completed to a high standard.

Volunteering

Our work in North Staffordshire wouldn’t be possible without our dedicated team of volunteers! If you are interested in giving your time we would love to hear from you.

We are currently looking for the following volunteers, if you are interested in any of these roles please get in touch for more information on how to apply:

1. Community Hub Volunteer
Do you enjoy meeting people, providing advice and information and demonstrating equipment?

We are looking for volunteers interested in helping out at our Community Hubs, this service is being delivered at a range of locations across North Staffordshire. Tasks may include setting up and packing up, meeting and greeting, giving advice and information, demonstrating aids and daily living equipment, making drinks and taking client information and enquiries.

2. Technology Support Volunteer
Do you have a keen interest in Technology, do you use a piece of Assistive technology and would like to share your knowledge to support others?

We are looking for volunteers interested in helping to deliver Technology Awareness Sessions or with providing One to One technology support. This could include phones, computers, tablets, smart speakers, video magnifiers plus more.

3. Peer Support Group Volunteer
We are looking for volunteers to help with the successful delivery of our Peer Support and Social groups taking place across North Staffordshire.

Tasks may include meeting and greeting, introducing speakers and delivering key announcements, making drinks and listening to and chatting with attendees.

If you are friendly, approachable and reliable then this could be the volunteer role for you.

4. Community Independent Living Support Volunteer
Do you have excellent communication skills and attention to detail? Do you enjoy providing excellent customer service and have an interest in Welfare Rights.

We are looking for volunteers to support our Independent Living Support Service. Tasks may include providing advice and information and support with filling in forms for benefits, grants and concessions.

No experience necessary but a willingness to learn and to undertake necessary training essential.

5. Fundraising Volunteer
Do you have ideas and enthusiasm and like working as part of a team?

We are looking for volunteers to help with the vital role of raising funds to keep our services going. Tasks may include helping to organise and deliver events, attend information stands, deliver talks or to take part in bucket collections.

Volunteer roles will require references and DBS checks where necessary
