Staffordshire Sight Loss Association was set up to provide much needed face to face services for people with sight loss in North Staffordshire however the coronavirus pandemic has meant that we, like most organisations have had to suspend delivery of those types of services.

Due to this we have launched the following online groups and activities:

Zoom video/ telephone social groups

Join us each Monday at 10.30am for our Zoom video social groups.

Zoom is a video meeting platform where all attendees appear in a box on the screen and can then chat to eachother. You do not need a Zoom account to attend. You can either access the group via video in which case you need a device such as a phone, tablet or computer that has a microphone / camera. Or you can access the group by telephone. We will send you an email invite that will contain a link. Click on the link and it will take you into the meeting. Depending on how your device is set up you may need to download the Zoom app and/or enter the meeting password and ID. Or if you would prefer to access the group via telephone we can provide you with the telephone number.

It is an opportunity to meet others, have a chat and to share information, ideas and tips. We have guest speakers and quizzes also.

If you would like to attend our Video social groups or would like advice about Zoom please get in touch on  07931327018 or at hello@ssla.org.uk
