Thanks to the Government’s Levelling up funding, the National Lottery Community Fund and the Community Foundation for Staffordshire we have been able to increase the number of activities and outings that we are able to offer this year.

These events are a great opportunity to meet other people, share experiences, make friends and have fun. Guides and assistance are always available but you are also welcome to bring a friend or family member with you.

Activity Groups

On the first Tuesday of each month we are delivering an activity group, this usually takes place at our offices in Hanley

Activities vary but have so far included a visit from Rent a Beast who brought many wonderful creatures to see us including a Chilean Rose Tarantula and a Giant African Black Millipede! We have also made bowls and eggs cups from clay for our Easter Craft Session and have lots of other interesting activities and talks coming up.

Outings

On the last Friday of each month we are delivering an outing, these vary but have so far included ten pin bowling, the Brampton Museum, and The British Ceramics Biennial Festival for tile making. Coming up we have Liverpool Albert Docks and the Black Country Living Museum.

We do occasionally offer outings on other days for example where specific events are taking place, this has included exhibitions, the Big Feast, Sight Village and the New Vic Theatre.

Celebrations

Over the last few years we have marked many occasions with a celebration including Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee and King Charles III’s Coronation, we also hold an annual Christmas Celebration. This year with no Royal events taking place we have decided to continue the tradition by holding a Summer Celebration event.

If you would like to be invited to future activities, events and celebrations please join our events list. Just give us a call or drop us an email to let us know that you would like to join the list and then we will contact you directly to keep you up to date with upcoming events and activities.

Please note that whilst we always aim to subsidise the cost of activities and outings there will often be a charge.
