Student Support and The Prince's Trust x1 Network

Why was this partnership activity necessary - concerns, aims, difficulties etc?
Six students receiving S1/S2 help from the Support For Learning Department were integrated into Standard Grade English in August 2000. Accompanying learning difficulties, some students experience social difficulties or behavioural difficulties or display challenging behaviour. In an effort to be socially inclusive, it was decided to pilot the xl Network for this English section in Session 2001/2002.

Where does this partnership operate?
The partnership operates in St Joseph's College English Department with support from the Prince's Trust.

When does this work happen?
Two periods of Standard Grade English and one period of Standard Grade Mathematics per week for Session 2001/2002.

How does the scheme work? How is it maintained, sustained and evaluated?
The Prince's Trust xl course is delivered by: Mrs M Weir - PT Behaviour Support Mrs C Sanderson - PT Support For Learning Mrs E Wallace - Education Welfare Officer.
