(Partnership in the School Community)

Why was this partnership activity necessary - concerns, aims, difficulties etc?
To provide an additional and slightly different means of support for vulnerable children.

Where does this partnership operate?
In Larkhall Academy and its associated Primary schools

When does this work happen?
Throughout the session, until SQA examinations.

How does the scheme work? How is it maintained, sustained and evaluated?
S6 students are offered the chance to work with junior pupils in the Secondary school (in class or on a withdrawal basis) or assist in a local Primary school.

What are the benefits? What difference does this partnership make?
The scheme benefits both the younger pupils and the senior students who help to support them by improving self-esteem.
